Plain-language summary: We collect only what we need to support your wellness journey. Your data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We don't sell your information. Parents or guardians are part of every account for users under 18.

1. Who we are

Healthy Minds builds compassionate mental wellness tools, including MindBloom (free, for individuals) and MindBridge (for schools). We are designed with COPPA, FERPA, and HIPAA principles in mind. This product is intended to complement — not replace — professional care.

2. Information we collect

  • Account info: name, age, email, gender, password (hashed), profile photo (optional).
  • Emergency contact: name, relationship, phone, email of a trusted adult or parent/guardian.
  • Wellness data: mood check-ins, journal entries, screening responses, conversations with Maya.
  • Technical data: device type, browser, and minimal usage logs needed to operate the service.

3. How we use your information

To deliver your personalized companion experience, surface helpful tools, track your progress (visible only to you), and alert your emergency contact or relevant services if our safety systems detect a serious risk.

4. Children's privacy (COPPA / FERPA)

MindBloom is intended for ages 11–18. For users under 18 we require a parent or guardian to be listed as the emergency contact, and we require consent at signup. Schools using MindBridge operate under signed agreements that comply with FERPA.

5. Security

Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.3. Crisis-routing services are isolated from other systems and cannot be disabled by other internal services. We never sell your data, and we never expose individual student data in aggregate outputs.

6. Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. Contact privacy@healthyminds.ai.

7. Crisis resources

If you or someone you love is in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), text HOME to 741741, or call 911.
